Gysinge, Red

Gysinge is a tapestry wallpaper and was common in the 1910s and 1920s. The idea was that the wallpaper should be reminiscent of fabric. The stripes in the pattern emphasise the effect. The motifs of flowers and leaves were very common. The colours were often dark and muted.
