The Bird wallpaper has been inspired by a pattern that William Morris designed for his own home, Kelmscott House. Pairs of wood pigeons and thrushes in shades of green, apricot and gray create a linearity on the underlying foliage of gray leaves and poppies, sunflowers, bellflowers in white and beige. The background color of the wallpaper is a brown-purple shade that gives the wallpaper a nice depth.
