It is reminiscent of the Art & Crafts movement with a dash of folklore aesthetic. The artist’s intention was to design a dense foliage which would appear to move in front of your eyes in a flowing motion. The Turtle Dove is a beautiful & dainty British bird, a symbol of love, friendship and devotion, which comes from the fact that a couple of birds will stay together for a lifetime. Each of the botanical elements in this design were hand-drawn and repeated in a symmetrical way to create a dense and elegant floral tapestry.
